MEET THE SQUAD

MagiSwap is being  developed as a final project at the Academy of Interactive Entertainment.

Corey Kemper

Artist, Second Year Student

With my time on MagiSwap I learned a lot about many various elements of game design, and bettered my understanding. I began my work with the team by designing the team logo for "Space Squad Studios". Improving my skill and efficiency with graphic design, this also carried over when I designed the official titling for the game. Concepting is something I dabbled in as well and I enjoyed it very much as that is the specific field of game art that I would love to go in to. Next I worked closely with the team's programmer to flesh out the UI, with some concepts sketched out, we were able to go through some multiple different renditions of UI that really popped. I 3D modeled in Maya a bookshelf (with books), a crate and a barrel which all turned out quite nicely. Aside from tampering with some cell sheet stuff, I wrapped up my experience with the group by completing the official run animation for Samantha which I believe to have also turned out nicely. As I said before, I learned a lot, and really enjoyed my time with the team.

Gina "Purrez" Perez

Artist, Animator, Second Year Student

Gina is a concept, texture, and 3D artist for MagiSwap. Her main contribution has been the character model and textures for Samantha as well as other 3D models and concepts. She has also contributed some animations to the project and hopes to create particle effects and try her hand at level design. When she’s not creating art, Gina can be found watching something spooky, drinking coffee or playing video games…for research, of course. Some speculate she also might be part cat.
